Equestrian Apparition and the Vanishing Rider

Amongst the various encounters with the supernatural, my very first ghostly experience remains etched in my memory—a spectral occurrence that unfolded within the confines of my minuscule apartment.

One fateful night, I awoke to an astonishing sight—a full-sized horse, majestic and resplendent, positioned by the side of my bed. The sheer incongruity of this sight in my cramped living space elicited a startled scream from my lips. With bated breath, I stammered, “What is that?” My disbelief was further compounded as I realized that accompanying the equine apparition was a cowboy, garbed in the traditional attire of the “Old West.”

With a genteel gesture, he raised his hat in acknowledgment, offering a fleeting glimpse into an era long past. A subtle nudge of his spurs guided the horse as they both commenced an unhurried departure. The enigmatic steed, unfazed by the physical confines of walls, proceeded to traverse through the solid barrier with eerie grace.

It’s pertinent to mention that my abode occupied the second story, and the wall which the ghostly horse traversed was an exterior one. Intriguingly, inquisitive individuals often pose the question, “Didn’t the horse plummet once it passed through the wall and entered the outdoors?” Yet, one must remember—the essence of the supernatural realm defies the constraints of earthly rules. A realm where a wall holds no dominion, where gravity bows to more enigmatic forces.
