Fourth Dispatch from the Whitmore House

This is the fourth edition of our News Report from the haunted place on Elm Street. At 1:47 a.m., the Whitmore House’s front hall clock began ticking backward, a sound colder than fear. The camera left running captured doors yawning open and closed in a sequence no draft should produce. There was no wind, only the steady, patient presence that seems to study every corner.

In the attic, a child’s toy rotated slowly, an invisible hand guiding the motion as dust motes swam through pale light. A diary found there contains brief, stark lines: “I listen,” “they watch us,” “do not wake them.” Neighbors report sleep deprivation, windows that reflect more than the room, and a creeping certainty that the house remembers every unspoken word.

Authorities caution outsiders to keep their distance; this is a haunted place, and our Scary Blog will report any further developments as they arrive.
