Paranormal Investigation

As I left my home, I tuned in to a mysterious melody on my car’s radio, setting the tone for a night of ghost hunting in San Francisco. This time around, I engaged my ghost hunting activities with the San Francisco Paranormal Society. I drove to Donovan Turner’s home. Donovan Turner serves as the founder, paranormal investigator, and leader of the San Francisco Paranormal Society, while his wife Melissa handles case management. It was the 24th of November in the year 2015, and the clock read 1700 hours. I readied myself for a briefing from Donovan, which would kickstart our night of investigating the unknown. The Paranormal Investigation Team was composed of Donovan Turner, Jason Kowing as our Equipment Handler and Intuitive, Deona Joya “DJ” Vastine-Sharp, Janet Michalk as our second Intuitive, and Paul Dale Roberts who took on the role of Ghost Writer. Our destination was a mysterious house nestled somewhere in San Francisco County. The occupants of this home preferred to remain anonymous, and we were armed with an array of equipment: infrared cameras, VHS recorders, temperature gauges, EMF detection meters, digital recorders, and sealed recording tapes, which required a witness for both opening and sealing.

Our briefing included details about the occupants, the location, their religious beliefs, and how long they had resided there – a duration of 1 year and 3 months. Their questionnaire revealed unsettling experiences, from inexplicable cigarette smoke in a non-smoking home to loud banging in the kitchen, blankets mysteriously moving on their own, and an overall fear that had driven the entire family to sleep together in the living room.

As we arrived at the residence at 19:28 hours, the once ominous clouds had transformed into a relentless rainstorm accompanied by howling winds. It seemed like the perfect night for a ghost hunt. We swiftly set up our equipment in the garage and began sending teams into the house at staggered intervals. Janet led the way with her E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) device, employing her intuitive senses to detect any paranormal presence. In the garage, Jason took the lead, using his EMF detector which, for now, registered no unusual spikes.

The mother and daughter of the house shared their experiences. They described shadows moving across walls, the inexplicable smell of cigarette smoke, and items mysteriously shifting, such as hats and a basket in the master bedroom. To test this, we positioned a still infrared camera in the master bedroom, hoping to capture any object movement. The TV’s strange behavior also caught their attention – it would power off and on by itself, and channels changed without human interference. Additionally, they reported hearing the freezer door open and the sound of ice cubes jiggling. A picture on the stove’s stand had been knocked over independently on several occasions, witnessed by both the daughter and mother.

At 20:01 hours, Donovan and Jason entered the house, starting their investigation in the son’s bedroom. The room’s temperature was comfortable, but then, abruptly, they encountered a cold spot that lasted for a mere 2 to 3 seconds. The air felt dense, heavy. Jason was quick to notice that his voice recorder’s new battery had been inexplicably drained, sparking thoughts of spirit activity. Janet and DJ continued the exploration, and Janet’s intuitive abilities led her to some interesting insights:

When entering the kitchen, Janet felt an undeniable presence near the sink. An unspoken urge compelled her to look into the backyard.

In the living room, Janet sensed nothing unusual. However, as she ventured into the hallway, a profound heaviness filled the air. She struggled to breathe, experiencing distress in her voice, a tightening sensation in her solar plexus, and a slight pain on the right side of her abdomen.

Upon entering the master bedroom, she sensed the presence of something old. Her intuition drew her to a hairbrush and a hand-held mirror. Intriguingly, she detected an “add-on” in the bedroom but felt no presence there. In the older section of the bedroom, she reported detecting three entities. The bedroom’s atmosphere fluctuated, with heaviness in the older area and a lighter feel in the add-on section. In the little boy’s bedroom, Janet felt a surge of energy, while in the bathroom, she sensed giggling – the spirit she encountered appeared to be that of a young child.

Janet’s intense encounter with the supernatural left her with a lingering pain on the left side of her torso. She and DJ attempted to make contact with the entities in the garage, and in my presence, Janet felt a tingling sensation on her shoulders. She explained that spirits are naturally drawn to sensitives, like moths to a flame, and her discomfort, shoulder twitches, and shortness of breath all indicated the entities’ recognition of her
